Make these marshmallow ghosts with only 3 ingredients! A fun Halloween treat you and your family can easily make together.
Looking for an inexpensive homemade Halloween treat? This is it. You can make 3 dozen ghosts for less than $10! Such a cute and yummy treat that the kids will love.
These would be perfect for your kids to take to school for their class party, wrap individually and send off as a party favor, or to make for your own celebration!
If you plan to serve these in a class or party, I recommend the appetizer skewers being left in the marshmallow, so it is easy to hold, eat, and keeps germs to a minimum. My kids loved having the stick to hold onto, it reminded them of a cake pop.
Another spooky treat you should try is my Halloween Puppy Chow.
Ingredients
- S’more Marshmallows
- Vanilla Flavored Candy Coating
- Black Decorating Gel
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using kitchen shears, round off the top of the marshmallow and then cut two triangle shapes out of the bottom to create the ghost shape.
- Poke a toothpick or appetizer skewer through the center of the marshmallow so you can hold on to it while coating it. You can remove it after coating it if you don’t want them in there afterwards.
- Melt the candy coating according to the package. Using a butter knife or spoon, coat all sides but the triangle cut spots with an even layer of the candy coating. Smooth it the best that you can and place on the parchment paper.
- Once all coated, place them in the fridge for about 5 minutes for the coating to fully harden.
- Remove from the fridge and use the black decorating gel to create the eyes and mouth.
- Store in an airtight container until ready to serve.
