This cut out sugar cookie recipe is an old family favorite for many generations. They are soft, easy to make, and no need to chill the dough.
My mother gave me this recipe when I started getting into baking with my kids. The recipe came from her Granny Ruby, which I’m thinking is my great or great great grandmother. I love getting these old recipes because they are always so good, and a fun experience when making it.
These are really good as is and they are good frosted as well. You can cut these into in shape and decorate them. Decorating them is always such a fun family activity.
