Learn how to dehydrate lemons to use as a seasoning, decoration, or to preserve them for later.
Lemons are such a tasty fruit and so versatile! They are good savory or sweet. Instead of throwing out your unused or starting to dry out lemons, dehydrate them to use them in other ways.
Dehydrated lemons make for fantastic kitchen decoration. Put them in a clear glass jar to add a fun pop of color. String them to make a beautiful summer garland or Christmas ornaments. You can make all kind of crafts with these.
Grind them into a powder so you can season all your favorite things with it. Put some in your tea, vanilla ice cream, sprinkle some of some fish, you name it! You can even put some in a spray bottle with vinegar for a lemony fresh cleaning product.
Some recipes I recommend trying the lemon powder seasoning would be Lemon Butter Grilled Salmon, Lemon Pepper Chicken and Mini Glazed Lemon Poppyseed Muffins.
I was searching on Etsy for what dried lemons go for and they are about $27 a pound plus shipping and taxes! It is so much cheaper to make your own plus then you can make as little are as many as you want.
Next time you find a good deal on lemons, buy them all and try all these different ideas!
