Lasagna is just one of those meals that is so comforting and craveable that it’s a regular meal around our outfit. Recipes don’t have to be complicated or have weird ingredients for it to taste better than a restaurant. This recipe is simple, easily accessible ingredients layered together for a family friendly meal.
I love that you can stretch just one pound of meat to easily feed 8 people a hearty meal. This is such an inexpensive way to feed a crowd. Your guests will never know it took you only an hour to make from start to finish!
Ingredients
- Ground Beef
- Lasagna Noodles
- Spaghetti Sauce
- Ricotta Cheese
- Fiesta Blend Cheese
- Salt
- Pepper
- Italian Seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Add your lasagna noodles and cook until al dente. Drain and rinse. Set aside to cool.

- While the noodles are cooking, brown the ground beef. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper to the meat while it cooks. Drain the grease and discard once browned. Set aside to cool.

- In a small mixing bowl, stir together the ricotta cheese, salt and Italian seasoning.

- In a 9 x 13 pan, pour a thin layer of the spaghetti sauce to coat the bottom of the pan so the noodles don’t stick.
- Put a single layer of noodles on top of the sauce.

- Using half of the seasoned ricotta, evenly spread it out over top of the noodles.
- Sprinkle half of the browned ground beef over the ricotta layer.

- Repeat and do a layer of noodles, ricotta, and ground beef.
- Put the last layer of noodles on top. Use the rest of the spaghetti sauce and spread it out evenly to cover the noodles.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over top to finish it. Bake for 30 minutes.
