This homemade Hawaiian pizza is bound to be a family favorite. It is fun to make and tastes better than takeout!
Pineapple belongs on pizza, I said it. The sweet and salty combination is perfection. I’m so glad my husband and kids agree because I’m a huge fan of it. It is in my top three favorite kinds of pizza. We love homemade pizza plus we rarely get takeout anyways, so I knew I needed to try to make this at home. I can confirm this recipe is worth skipping the drive to the pizza place. Seriously so good!
I used the pineapple that I had canned back in November on this, and it was so good. If you haven’t ever canned before, pineapple is a great food to start with. You process it in a water bath because it is so acidic. It’s super easy to do and the results are incredible. It tastes so different than the store-bought kind, especially if you use pineapples that are in season.
Deli ham is perfect for this recipe because it is cut thin, so it gets crispy on the edges while you cook it, which is what makes this so good.
You can use homemade dough or store bought. Whichever you prefer. It will turn out great either way.

This is my family’s favorite dinner, and mine too! This dish was incredibly easy to make, and my kiddos loved helping too! We are without making this a part of our family Fridays!
