Bacon cheddar quiche is the perfect main dish for breakfast or brunch. Simple ingredients combined in a pie crust for a crowd-pleasing dish.
Breakfast food is one of my favorites and quiche is at the top of the list of what I want for the main dish. It is savory, versatile, filled with delicious breakfast flavors, and easy to make.
I like to use store bought pie crust when making quiche. It helps save on time and effort, plus I think it is just as yummy.
You can make this in advanced and then reheat it in the oven at 350 for 30 minutes. Leave it covered in foil when reheating it, so the crust doesn’t get over cooked.
Pair this alongside some Overnight Sticky Buns, Cinnamon Raisin French Toast, Apple Cider Pancakes, or some Creamy Fruit Salad and you will have yourself one amazing breakfast spread!
Ingredients
- Bacon
- Eggs
- Mild Cheddar Cheese
- Whole Milk
- Pie Crust
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
- Bake the bacon for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let bacon cool on a paper towel lined plate after it is cooked to absorb the grease.
- Line your pie plate with the pie crust. Using a fork, poke holes in the bottom of the crust. Bake for 10 minutes.
- Cut the cheese into small cubes.
- Roughly chop the bacon.
- Now to make the filling. In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the eggs, salt, and pepper and whisk together.
- Add the milk and whisk together.
- Add the bacon and cheddar and mix until well combined.
- Pour the filling into the parbaked pie crust. Gently spread out of the cheddar and bacon pieces so they aren’t all in one part of the pie.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
